| oh yeah. mentally here. |
i'm having trouble committing to a project, which means that there is currently no plan for the week. phone's been smashed up a bit so i can't do duolingo. (drat.) my plan to not "pick" at myself has gone out the window - unconsciously racking up extra sets of push-ups (my punishment for caving) until i don't even know how many i'm supposed to do. so that isn't working right now.
thankfully, i'm only two days behind at this point and i'm leaning towards unleashing some culinary bad-assery, but doing so would mean that i'm stuck in the kitchen most nights after work. juan and i have five new cookbooks this week with two more on the way. add those to my existing collections and you've got at least thirty titles to choose from... mexican to indian, to health-conscious vegetarian, to relaxed american, to the compendium of middle eastern cooking, to ingredient driven-french, to colombian and latin american, to straight-up julia child, to vegetable-focused mediterranean, to varieties of popsicles, to jamming and preserving, and - i'm sure - a few other cuisines that i've forgotten.
or i could go the route of sourcing pinterest. there are enough recipes pinned to my "to cook" board for more than a year's worth of daily projects. these also run the full gamut of culinary experience.
so i'm stuck. i will continue to waffle for a bit and enjoy my manicotti lunch. by the end of the day, if i'm still stuck, i'll flip a coin. the very act of assigning the two variables to their respective sides eliminates some of the choice, but whatever.
eat that, soft determinism. i am supposing that jones is a sonuvabitch.
